introduction

I recently moved away from a home I made away from my hometown, several beautiful friends, and much of what was familiar and constant in my life. My new residence isn't home, yet. Time is all it takes for this transition to be made, and seeing it happen once gives me confidence it will happen again.

Being in a new place I have experienced some expected loneliness and desired an outlet for my frequent thoughts that have become more apparent as my frequent interactions with familiar faces has become less. This isn't a pity blog but a conversational one. My intention is to share my thoughts on life and faith with friends, just a little more quietly than I've grown used to :) in hopes that they will not only respond but continue holding me accountable for the life I have chosen to live.

My blog's title is a title I've given myself. Historically, a lady-in-waiting is often a noblewoman of lower rank (i.e., a lesser noble) than the one she attends to. To put it simply the One I attend to is my Lord. To take it to an even more literal sense what I am waiting on is His best for me, which I experience everyday I walk with Him. I also know that because I've accepted what His Son did for me I will one day join my Lord in heaven, and that is a day I eagerly await.
